Ah, Love Island. We wonder what horrors your hit team of cleaners have seen. We ponder over how many condoms have been left in your giant swimming pool, and we consider what it says about ourselves that we think these things.

But enough of the philosophical crap: did you know that Tom Powell has QUIT the island after being pretty much dumped by the lovely Sophie Gradon?

Cast your mind back to Friday night's episode, in which Sophie pulled him up on his moodiness, saying she wasn't putting up with it for much longer.

And then Tom's ex, Emma-Jane Woodham, walked into the villa and everything got hella, hella awkward?

Yeah.

In last night's episode, it all came to a head when Sophie told Tom: "I've hit peak today and you have not seen me flip and you are pushing me well over the edge, Tom.

"It didn't have to be a stressful situation but you just had to look for another reason to have an issue with me."

She went on: "You don't even realise how difficult you are. I have been so calm and patient with you and you just push and push all the time. Me and her are fine, and me and you were fine. You, in your own head, made this situation ten times worse."

In response, Tom started packing his bags, telling the camera: "I don't want to be here anymore. [Sophie] told me that I've pushed her over the line. I’ve tried to explain to her, but she's not having any of it.

"I'm not being in here without her. I can't do it."

So… does that mean he's actually left? Or will we see him sheepishly unpacking his tight vest tops in tonight's episode?
