Ever since we watched the Married At First sight stag do where series 12's Eliot Donovan admitted he'd quit the experiment at the aisle if he didn't 'instantly feel a spark' with his wife, we knew he'd be a character and you know what? We were right.
While the main focus on Eliot and Lauren Hall's wedding was her outspoken sister, it didn't take long for Eliot to steal the spotlight and it was during day one of their honeymoon that he pointed out that his wife had some traits from his non-negotiable list.
Fast forward 48 hours and he walked away from his honeymoon and out of the experiment.
THEN in Married At First Sight history both Eliot and Lauren returned to the show to marry new people and surprise, surprise neither of their second marriages worked out. Just when you'd think he'd dated enough of his MAFS co-stars he didn't stop then because rumour has it he's dating Jamie Marinos.
As in, the same Jamie who was married to Dave Hand throughout the experiment but their relationship epically fell apart shortly after the show ended.
As there's lots of speculation surrounding Eliot and Jamie's relationship, we've taken a deep dive to see if they are actually dating or not.
Shortly after the experiment ended rumours started to circulate and one of their unnamed cast member's told Australian publication Woman’s Day, 'This isn’t just a fling. They’re very much in it for real...
'They’ve gone from mates to full couple mode. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, but it feels natural for them.'
Whirlwind is a bit of an understatement tbh. While Eliot had a rocky relationship with both his wives - Lauren and Veronica Cloherty - Jamie seemed SO loved up with Dave we did not see a recoupling happening.
Anyway, amid all the speculation Jamie's ex Dave spoke out and said on his Instagram Story, 'Honestly? I don't have any thoughts [on their relationship].
'I couldn't give... I don't care. I hardly doubt she's going to sleep with three cast members from this year's season.
'I think it's just a TikTok/Instagram thing whatever they're doing.'
'Good luck to them. Good luck, best wishes,' he added.
Dave's shady comments comes after it came to light that Jamie had previously dated fellow groom Teejay Halkias, meanwhile Dave previously dated Sierah Swepstone before the show.
And as the rumours continue to build around Jamie and Eliot's relationship, the babe herself actually spoke out and admitted that Eliot's a 'very close person to my life' before adding to Australian publication Nine, 'I understand everyone wants an answer but we're in the real world now, so it's not like we're going to be official or announce something tomorrow.
'I'm enjoying getting to know Eliot, I'm getting to know different people, I'm just being open.'
Their co-star Carina Mirabile has also opened up about their budding romance and she's all but confirmed that they're in a relationship.
'I think Jamie is in her love bubble at the moment with her and Eliot. I think it's still early stages for them but they're definitely in their little happy bubble and enjoying each other's time together and really just getting to know one another,' she told the earlier publication.
The MAFS star - who was married to Paul Antoine - added, 'There's a spark in her and they get along really well. I'm happy for them, she's deserving of it and he's deserving of it. If that's what makes them happy, then so it should be.'
And after a swipe through Eliot's socials we noticed he's posted Jamie a few times but it's his latest Instagram post that's the most telling.
While the first photo is blurry AF, it's the second photo that features Jamie and the caption even says, 'Say no more 💕 #mafs.'
Jamie then commented, 'Only 5 margs please x' and Eliot responded ,'@jamiemarinos_ ok but not one more 💕.'
Hmm.
They then posted a joint Instagram Reel with the caption, 'Mum & Dad take Fashion Week 💕.'
Sorry but what is going on in the House of Commons?
If you told us at the start of MAFS 2025 that Jamie and Eliot would recouple we'd NEVER have believed you.
