While most teens are busy worrying about homework or their latest crush, Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy has been performing to tens of thousands of people a night during her mum’s Cowboy Carter tour, which kicked off last month.
At just 13, Blue Ivy has been stealing the show, joining Queen B along younger sister Rumi, seven – who made her stage debut on the tour. Blue Ivy – who has reportedly undergone months of intense practise – has wowed fans with her impressive dance moves, especially in a solo sequence during the song Déjà Vu. ‘Blue Ivy’s aura already has the shadow of a star in it’, wrote one impressed follower, with another adding, ‘This girl is the essence of “predestined”.’

And a source tell us that Beyonce, 43, and Jay Z, 55 – who are also parents to seven-year-old son Sir, Rumi’s twin – are paving the way for their eldest child to be a next-generation superstar and continue their legacy.
‘Blue Ivy has suddenly become into this tall teenager who looks like a carbon copy of her mum. Her confidence onstage is astounding and her work ethic is Beyonce-level. She practised day and night for months until she could nail every move in the routines. It’s obvious she has what it takes,’ says an insider.
The source continues, ‘It’s been a joy for Bey and everyone in the family to watch Blue Ivy blossom this way. She gave it 110% and nailed every element – you would never know she was only 13 years old. Right now it’s all about building her dance skills and her stage presence, but the next step will be music, and eventually she will have a mic in her hand and be doing this on her own.’

Blue Ivy is no stranger to fame, having notched an impressive number of showbiz cameos despite her young age. She is the youngest person to be on the Billboard charts after she featured as a gurgling newborn on Jay Z’s single Glory, and she appeared on Beyonce’s music video Blue as a baby. When she was three, she was part of the choir on Coldplay’s Up&Up and sang on Beyonce’s song Brown Skin Girl in 2020. After featuring as herself in a number of her mum’s documentary films, she made her film debut as the voice of Princess Kiara in Mufasa: The Lion King last year.
Our insider says, ‘Beyonce and Jay-Z are pouring everything they’ve got into Blue Ivy’s career. She has the talent and the work ethic, so it’s a no brainer. They’re seeing this as a long-term game plan and they’re building a fool-proof roadmap to the finish line. They don’t see any need to rush things, they have no doubt Blue Ivy will be a superstar. It’s her destiny.’
