Despite receiving some harsh and unnecessary criticism after dropping her comeback single 'Love Made Me Do It' back in 2018, Geordie Princess Cheryl is well and truly BACK with her brand new single 'Let You', which was released this morning (Friday 31st May).

The track, which gives off some serious summer feels, was co-written by Cheryl's best friend and former Girls Aloud band mate Nicola Roberts, in turn giving fans a little hint of a Girls Aloud reunion.

As well as being co-written by Nicola, 'Let You' was produced by Mike Spencer, an established name in the industry who has recently worked with Swedish pop star Zara Larsson, something which the new single reflects.

Similar to Cheryl's past hits, 'Fight For This Love', 'Parachute', and 'Call My Name', 'Let You' features some strong lyrics seemingly documenting Cheryl's past relationships, such as "See I'm not afraid to say "It's all my fault, I was passive, you took advantage, yeah."

After Cheryl released the track at midnight, with a fully choreographed music video shortly following, fans of the 35-year-old were quick to express their love, with many simply confirming that their Princess is 'back'.

One wrote, 'Absolute banger 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼', with another writing, 'Absolutely phenomenal stronger and better than ever LET YOU IS AMAZING LISTENED on repeat since midnight 😘😘'. [sic]

A third wrote, 'Ohhh gurl this is the anthem I didn’t know I needed 😍 lotta love for youuu 💕✌🏼'. Another excited fan tweeted, 'The queen of pop is back 💅'. [sic]

So happy you’re enjoying #LetYou love you all. And thanks for waiting up with me 🙏🏼✨😘'. [sic]

However, things started to turn sour for the 'golden couple' when Ashley was accused of 'cheating' on Cheryl just months after their wedding. Despite forgiving the footballer, Ashley continued with his ways, with allegations that he'd been unfaithful rocking their romance yet again. Everything got too much for Chez in 2010, when she filed for divorce from Ashley.

It seems Cheryl had quite a thing for professional dancers, as her next boyfriend was the super handsome Tre Holloway. Despite first meeting each other on The X Factor in 2010, the pair didn't grow close until 2012, with Cheryl enlisting Tre's dancing skills for her 'Ghetto Baby' music video.
