Dua Lipa has confirmed the release date for her eagerly awaited collaboration that she has been teasing for a few weeks now, 'Electricity'. Teaming up with producers Mark Ronson and Diplo, collectively known as Silk City, Dua Lipa first teased their new single a few weeks ago. Taking to Twitter, she tweeted a close-up photo of a woman with blonde hair and long silver and black nails saying, 'Her name is Electricity... and you’ll meet her soon enough ⚡️'.
Now, the 'IDGAF' singer has CONFIRMED the release date. Dua posted a video of herself, looking VERY excited, captioned with the words, '⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️10 DAYS ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️'.
Collaborator Mark Ronson then confirmed that the new single will be released on the 6th September saying, 'OH HI. SILK CITY ft. @DUALIPA "ELECTRICITY" SEPTEMBER 6.' [sic]
Judging by their reaction, fans are super-excited by the release date announcement. One fan chose to post two photos of the singer looking shocked, saying, 'My reaction:'
Dua then chose to reply to this tweet explaining why she looked so shocked in one of the photos saying, 'Lol that second pic is so funny. The pap fell over backwards over a bin bag in the street in nyc and I was actually worried about him. How have I never seen that before 😭😭'. [sic]
Back in January 2018, it was revealed that Dua was working with Mark Ronson and Diplo. She shared a photo, without a caption, of herself in the studio with the mega producers, however at the time it wasn't revealed whether they were working on Dua's forthcoming album, or on their new album.
