Ed Sheeran has released a debut performance of his track Eraser, which will feature on new album ‘÷’.
The live performance was posted to the SBTV YouTube channel, an online platform which mainly features emerging artists.
As an up-and-coming artist Ed Sheeran used to appear on SBTV and today marks seven years to the day since SBTV uploaded their first video of Ed. Speaking in the video, Ed says that his first appearance on SBTV "started my career properly" so it’s nice to see Ed going back to where he began.
SBTV are also celebrating their 10th birthday and Ed’s performance is the first of ten exclusive videos coming over the next month.
The video sees Ed performing an extended version of Eraser, combining rap with his usual singing style and some pretty personal lyrics.
In the song Ed says: "I wish that I could make peace with my older cousin. I wish he didn’t think that it was me when it wasn’t."
He adds: "I wish my private life would have never gone public. But that’s the sacrifice that we make, spending my whole time high, living life away."
We love how Ed really opens up about some personal stuff in this song. His talent is simply unmatched. We can’t wait for what the rest of the album has in store. Brb, just going to listen to Eraser again…
