If you're attending this year's Glastonbury Festival in just over two months' time, we have some bloomin' BRILLIANT news for you. Not only is the line-up nothing short of iconic, but award-winning network EE has announced it's set to trial fancy new 5G mobile technology at Worthy Farm.

Yep, that means it'll be the first ever 5G-connected UK festival. Hoorah.

Being the official technology partner of the festival for its sixth year on the trot, EE will trial the state of the art network as they predict a record amount of data will be used.

Well we've all gotta get Stormzy's headline set on our Insta Story within seconds, right?

As EE expects more than 70 TERABYTES of data will be used across the 900-acre Somerset site (that's the equivalent of a whopping 784 million Instagram posts or 19 million downloads of Stormzy's track Shut Up), they're giving festival-goers the opportunity to try out super-fast 5G technology for themselves via 5G-powered Wi-Fi.

Once again, music fans will have access to the EE Recharge Tent meaning those battery-related stresses are no more. Open from Thursday 27th June (10am-10pm), the EE Recharge Tent will host more chargers than ever before and be free to all; no matter what network you're on.

We're already feeling less anxious, tbh 🙌🏽.

If you're worried about missing your fave act on stage, FEAR NOT. You can purchase a Juice Tube Power Bar offering one full phone charge for just £20 from the EE Recharge Tent or online at EE.co.uk.

When that's run flat, you'll be able to replace your Juice Tube Power Bar once a day, free of charge at the EE Recharge Tent or EE Exchange Cabin. PERFECT.

Glastonbury Festival's Emily Eavis commented: "We’re extremely pleased to have EE back again, providing the best possible network for our rural site. And it’s great that we’re going to be one of the first places in the UK to offer 5G."

Don't forget that the official Glastonbury app, developed in partnership with our pals over at EE, will be available to download from May. To keep up to date with all the EE Glastonbury latest, head over here.
