In his career he’s threatened everyone from Limp Bizkit to Moby. But Eminem's latest rap sees him threaten to punch ethereal singer Lana Del Rey “in the face twice”.
The rap comes as part of a promotion for the release of Shady XV a compilation of the star’s greatest hits, which is being released by Shady Records.
His lyrics say: “But I may fight for gay rights, especially if the dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice/Play nice? Bitch I'll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance/'Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens."
The lyrics about Janay Rice are thought to refer to the American football player, Ray Rice who assaulted his now ex-fiance, CCTV footage was released and he was subsequently suspended from the NFL.
In a bid to keep herself relevant, Azealia Banks waded in on Eminem’s latest rap, tweeting:
"@LanaDelRey tell him to go back to his trailer park and eat his microwave hotpocket dinner and suck on his sisters tiddies."
