The '90s are just so on trend right now. Not only is classic telly show Charmed getting a reboot; but a Spice Girls reunion's surely on the cards soon, right?
Er, WRONG.
After Geri Horner teased pop's biggest comeback last year, claiming the girls would spice up our lives once more 'in the near future,' she's now backtracked and reckons it's hard 'to get five people to agree' on plans.
If you need us, we'll be listening to Viva Forever and BAWLING OUR EYES OUT.
Talking all things Spice on Good Morning Britain (and shattering our dreams in the process), Geri said: "Last year I so wanted it to happen as it was the anniversary and a few of us were really pushing for it to happen and it didn’t so I thought, 'Let it go'.
"I think everyone took a break - [the Olympics 2012 closing ceremony] was quite a moment to do, so how do you top it?"
"To get five people to agree all at the same time, even if you’ve got five really nice people, to say they all like the same colour it’s really hard."
Host Susanna Reid then claimed Geri was being a bit shady towards Melanie B, Melanie C, Emma and Victoria, saying: "That was throwing shade – ‘even if they are all really nice’?"
Geri responded: "No they are really nice, that’s what I was saying, they are all really nice, they’re all really nice girls."
This all comes after Geri dangled an absolute carrot in front of our very eyes last year, claiming a reunion was very much on the cards. She told The Sun: "We’re not re-forming immediately, but in the near future."
Basically, who knows what the hell's going on?
