It’s been nearly 20 years since Girls Aloud were formed on Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002. And now it seems that, despite the never-ending rumours of a rift within the band, Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Tweedy, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts are looking to do something special to celebrate the anniversary.
Both Kimberley and Nadine have hinted at a potential reunion tour in 2022 after the duo recently bumped into each other at an event; with Nadine admitting that 'it made [her] feel nostalgic' for her days in the girl group.
The latest development? Confirming the band have been discussing potential plans, Nadine told The Sun: "There’s been loads of conversations and people now are getting in contact, like, ‘What do we do?’ It’s still early."
The girls haven’t always been close, though; with Kimberley admitting that whilst she remained good friends with Cheryl and Nicola, 'with Sarah and Nadine, it was more of a work relationship.'
Nadine, for her part, admitted that she was never especially close to her bandmates either.

Chemistry
Am I looking at the most awkward artistic rendition of Stepford Wives, or is that just me? And can someone please explain why they are using knee-high heeled boots as stockings?
The Sound Of The Underground
I am living for Nicola Robert's side-pony.
No good Advice
More attitude than a teenage girl experiencing her first dose of PMS.
See The Day
Circa See The Day, Lily Allen had convinced everyone that vintage prom dresses were cool. How? Who knows. Add in that Amy Winehouse had made the case for peep-toe heels and you can see how this artwork came to life.
Love Machine
I can practically hear the art director shouting: 'play with your sunglasses more'.
The Promise
In moments like this, I always feel sorry for Nicole as this is proof that until very recently make-up artists had no clue what do with red heads.
Biology
I call this 'Attack of the Gok Wan styling school'. Those cinched belts and lingerie-inspired outfits may have been aiming for Dolce & Gabbana, but they landed closer to Lipsy.
Can't Speak French
Between the powdered make-up, stiff corseting and dodgy Moulin Rouge theme I've come up with a conspiracy theory: this isn't a group shot, it's a work of photoshop mayhem
But it seems that the biggest bust-up of all was between Nadine and Cheryl.
An Attitude Cheryl recently resurfaced and was found to be full of expletives in response to Nadine’s claim that the band’s original split came as a shock to her.
"She’s full of sh**. What do you want us to say? She’s full of sh**."
"She was the one who wanted to make a solo record which is which is why we took the hiatus."
Seems like the girls need to get their story straight if they want their 20th anniversary reunion tour to be a success.
Since the girl band’s last reunion tour to celebrate their 10th anniversary, it seems that they’ve been eager to try out the reality show spotlight.
Cheryl was, of course, a regular judge on The X Factor and now sits on the judging panel of The Greatest Dancer.
Kimberley took part in Series 10 of Strictly Come Dancing, making it all the way to the final before losing out to Louis Smith. Sarah took part in the final series of Celebrity Big Brother and was eventually crowned the winner, Nadine took part in the latest series of I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! alongside Caitlyn Jenner and Jacqueline Jossa and Nicola was recently crowned the winner of the first UK series of The Masked Singer.
Phew.
