Cast your mind back to winter 2017. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement, 'social distancing' wasn't even a thing and Grace Davies was winning the hearts of the actual entire nation as she competed on The X Factor. Feels like a lifetime ago, no?
Well Blackburn-born Grace - who battled it out with Rak-Su in the telly talent show final - is back with a very exciting announcement indeed. Yep - her EP Friends with the Tragic is set to be released later this year and she's blessed our earholes with a brand new single; Addicted to Blue.
Just when we needed perking up during all this self-isolation shiz. Cheers, love.
Following the release of her really-rather-brilliant first single Invisible, Grace has teamed up with Swedish producer Elias Kapari on the '80s-tinged track.
Honestly, it's a banger.
Chatting about the single, Grace explains: "Addicted To Blue is the bop I never realised I had. It lived as a piano ballad for over a year and I never knew which direction to take it in.
"I went out to Sweden to produce it with Elias Kapari and we had such a fun time with it because it was such a blank canvas, so we tried everything just for fun! I’ve always been inspired by the energy of '80s pop production so I really wanted to bring some elements of '80s to this track."

It sounds like we've got a right treat in store with Grace's forthcoming four-track EP, too.
She says: "I feel like there’s something for everyone on this EP, and I was truly able to document a wide variety of happenings in my “tragique” life, as I like to call it. I’m so proud of these songs."
Can't bloody wait, mate.
