As a massive American star and the headline act on the main stage at V Festival, Jay-Z could be forgiven for making a few demands.

But the rapper’s presence at the event ahead of his gig at Hylands Park in Chelmsford tonight is something of a military operation.

Jay has brought an entire team of bouncers with him and festival bosses have set aside his own section of land in a bid to keep fans from getting to him.

A source told heatworld: “Jay Z apparently has a whopping five dressing rooms on a private half-acre plot at V Festival that has over 30 security guards on hand for the rap legend.”

After his performance on Saturday night at Weston Park in Staffordshire the musician, who recently welcomed twins to the world with wife Beyonce, is planning to make an entrance in Essex today.

He has chartered an extra special aircraft to fly him south and he can even have a shower on board if he fancies it.

The source added: “Jay Z will be flying in to V Festival in the world’s largest commercial helicopter, the Sikorsky S92, that costs a reported £18million - it even has a bathroom on board!”

The US star closed his set in Staffordshire last night by paying tribute to late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington after he committed suicide earlier this summer.

Jay said: “Can you guys light it up tonight for Chester? Linkin Park, one time, tonight. Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight!”
