It's been almost three years since Cheryl Tweedy's last single (Only Human reached number 70 back in 2015, remember?); but it sounds like she might be ready to make her big return to music with a little help from super producer-type Naughty Boy.

After teasing a potential Cheryl and Rak-Su collaboration recently, Naughty Boy's now revealed he's working on a 'great' song for her next album; and they're putting the finishing touches to it TODAY.

Chatting on Lorraine, Naughty Boy spilled: "[She’s a] Lovely girl, we worked together before but it was with will.i.am and we didn’t meet. We met recently and we wrote a song, a great song for her album and I’m really happy with it.

"We’re finishing it later today actually."

He also claimed baby Bear's mum's 'in a good place' right now, adding: "I feel like she’s her own entity, think of the success she’s had. She’s in a good place, I feel she can come back and people are wanting to hear ‘Oh what is Cheryl going to do next?'"

This all comes after Naughty Boy teased a collab with The X Factor 2017 winners Rak-Su and Cheryl; chucking a group pic on Instagram with the caption '#music #watchthisspace.'

Innnteresting.

The X Factor host Dermot O'Leary also recently confirmed Chezza's heading back to the show this year, telling Metro: "Cheryl’s going to come back. If it wasn’t Cheryl, I would love Mariah. It would be a whole new world of crazy my friend."

No rest for the wicked, eh?
