Some much-needed good news: One Direction might be reuniting to celebrate their tenth anniversary - as Liam Payne, as well as sources close to the band, have confirmed that the boyband are attempting to ‘make something happen’.
Liam was the first to suggest a potential reunion when he spoke to The Sun earlier this month. ‘We've got a 10-year anniversary coming up, so we've all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,’ he said. ‘To hear a lot of people's voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven't seen for a long time or never seen before, it's very interesting. At the moment I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say.’
And what Liam has said sounds promising, as eagle-eyed fans have noticed that not only have the rest of the band refollowed Zayn Malik on Twitter (a pretty big deal after he left the band in 2015) - but that the band's website has been reactivated and their albums have been reissued on Apple Music. Interesting.

20 songs you won't BELIEVE turn 20 in 2020
Robbie Williams - Rock DJ
We'd be lying if we said we don't catch ourselves YouTubing the video on our lunch break on a weekly basis. It's the tiger pants. They do things to us.
Britney Spears - Oops!... I Did It Again
The undisputed princess of pop kicked off her second album campaign with this absolute banger, and we're still on the hunt for a well-tailored red leather catsuit two decades later.
Eminem - Stan
We still know the actual entire rap and Dido's chorus word-for-word. CHALLENGE US.
LeAnn Rimes - Can't Fight the Moonlight
The soundtrack to Coyote Ugly, our childhood and exactly how we imagine we look when we attempt to dance on the bar in Yates's before Simon from security gives us that disappointed glare. Chill out, Simon. We're slaves to the music.
*NSYNC - Bye Bye Bye
Still the biggest of break-up bangers to this day, to be honest.
Kylie Minogue - Spinning Around
We once got caught using kitchen foil as a substitute for that pair of gold hot pants and we're not even sorry 'bout it. What? You've just got to improvise sometimes.
Linkin Park - In the End
For our more emo days, when we caught Damon kissing Saskia behind the bike sheds or found ourselves in detention for painting our nails. That kinda thing.
The Corrs - Breathless
Hands up if you remember Ant, Dec and Cat Deeley's hilarious The Corrs spoof on SM
Ronan Keating - Life is a Rollercoaster
And, just like that, Ronan provided enough content for those inspirational quote Instagram accounts to last a lifetime.
Anastacia - I'm Outta Love
Anastacia wasn't taking any shiz, and nor were we wags finger.
Craig David - 7 Days
Craig essentially invented the concept of the calendar week, let's be honest.
S Club 7 - Reach
The school disco self-empowerment ANTHEM we never knew we needed.
Westlife - My Love
"OVER SEAS FROM COAST TO COAAAST, TO FIND A PLACE I LOVE THE MOOOST..."
Madonna - Music
In hindsight, Madonna's cowgirl era was potentially our favourite Madge reinvention ever. Lil Nas X could never.
Spice Girls - Holler
Quite the departure from Stop and Spice Up Your Life, Holler earned the Spice Girls some cool Y2K points as they teamed up with trendy R&B producer Darkchild.
Shaggy - Angel
'Closer than my peeps you are to me' remains a completely-unrivalled show of affection. So deep.
Backstreet Boys - Shape of My Heart
We're assuming said shape is kind of...oval. Tends to be how it works.
All Saints - Black Coffee
Inventors of the double espresso and the reason we could probably do with some tooth whitening strips. Cheers, All Saints. CHEERS.
Bon Jovi - It's My Life
Arguably about 9000x better than Livin' on a Prayer, but y'know...
Spiller featuring Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)
Fun fact: this one robbed Victoria Beckham of the top spot as she went head-to-head with Truesteppers and Dane Bowers collab Out of Your Mind. Also a banger.
We don’t quite know what the reunion is going to entail yet, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic, however a tour looks unlikely. Sob. But, according to Page Six, we could be getting a new single or TV show.

A source also told Entertainment Tonight, 'The members of One Direction are planning on doing something for their 10-year anniversary in July, but haven't confirmed what that is yet. The guys started talking more frequently recently and have worked on putting a lot of things behind them.
'With the outbreak of Covid-19, the guys living all over the world and with different management and labels, it's hard to solidify what their reunion will be, but the guys want to do something for their fans.'
