Professor Green doesn’t understand why slapping a fan was a big deal

Professor Green made headlines after slapping a student at Durham University - just a reminder, he’s not a real professor and he wasn’t teaching there - he was rapping with his mouth. You never know, maybe he taught them something about life and why you shouldn’t slag off celebrities, especially if they’re in slapping-range.

Speaking to The Mirror at last night’s MOBO Awards, Prof said: "I don't reflect on things like that.” He said, while reflecting on that thing.

”If someone abuses you and throws their hand up at your face, then someone says that you hit a fan I'm just like like what fan? It happened. I mean, what's happened to rock and roll? I don't understand why it became such a big thing."

Yeah, that’s what rock and roll is all about. Collaborating with Emile Sande and slapping fans that have paid to see you. To be fair to the Prof - real name Stephen Manderson - the student reportedly called him a “c**t”.

Back on the MOBOs carpet, Professor Green added: "My life has become a domestic hell. I've got the dogs back in the house. I've had a new lawn laid. I don't feel that rock and roll [at the moment]. It's a bit boring. Maybe I'll just slap someone else. I won't by the way, that was a joke."

The student in question (slapee?) is reportedly alive, so that’s good. A spokesperson for the venue told the Mail Online: “Green reacted when the student verbally abused him repeatedly and then went to strike him. The student was subsequently escorted out from the venue for being too drunk.”
