Unless you've been living under some kind of rock (or somewhere with really shit Wi-Fi), you'll know that the Spice Girls have already made 2018 by reuniting and teasing some 'exciting news.' Now obviously there's been a lot of speculation as to what the girls have planned; with reports involving everything from a world tour to telly talent shows.

But, just as we'd started to dust off our Buffalo trainers, Victoria Beckham dashed our dreams of a tour as she told Vogue: "The girls aren’t going on tour." The latest rumour, though, suggests VB, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Melanie B might perform 'a few huge shows' since they can't commit to a tour due to 'family situations.'

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "Given the family situations, committing to a gruelling mega world tour was always a tough ask. When they got back together this month to discuss reforming, a mammoth tour was dismissed by the majority.

"The idea of playing a few huge shows in various cities was one that received the most interest.

"However, that’s just one aspect of the comeback they’re exploring, with the TV show element their likely priority, especially in the short-term."

This all comes after Victoria discussed the girls' reunion plans with Vogue, telling them: "I'm not going on tour. The girls aren't going on tour. It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely.

"I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely. There's something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for."

She added: "What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming. But [fashion] is what I do."
