There's been so much speculation as to what the hell Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Melanie B and Geri Horner have in store for us since the Spice Girls posted that reunion selfie last month. Are they touring? Ooh, will we get new music? Will Victoria Beckham, like, actually sing? SO MANY QUESTIONS.
Well now - after Scary Spice claimed the five girls have been invited to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding - it looks like we might finally have answers.
According to reports Ginger, Sporty, Scary, Baby and Posh have just signed off a 'superhero-themed movie' carrying their iconic 'girl power' message.
Hi! Ci! Ya! Hold tight!
Variety reports that the girls are working on what could essentially (in our wildest of dreams) be a sequel to their timeless 1997 film Spiceworld The Movie.
Apparently the characters will be voiced by each girl, with them representing their individual personalities. A source claims they're 'fired up about the idea,' adding: "The Spice Girls are thinking big in terms of a franchise on a global scale. They’re the most successful girl group on the planet. It’s just what Marvel or Disney needs."
Variety did reach out to the girls' manager Simon Fuller for comment, but he declined the opportunity.
This all comes after Melanie C denied Mel B's claims the band are set to perform at the royal wedding in May, saying: "Oh yes there's been quite a lot of press interest there, my invite hasn't turned up yet. It was all that snow. I think the mail's been a bit held up in the snow."
"I think [Mel B] was joking. I think the media ran with it a little bit."
