So 2016 is almost over, and WHAT a year it has been.
We’ve seen Justin Bieber’s milk glass get sold for £65,000.
Madonna offered blowjobs to anyone who voted for Hilary Clinton in the US presidential elections.
And Brangelina broke our hearts :’(
But now, as we get ready to stick to our New Year’s resolutions for approximately a week, we’re also getting wind of all of the nominations for the some of the biggest awards ceremonies.
(While simultaneously trying to work out who is going into Celebrity Big Brother in January.)
HURRAH!
We’ve got the BAFTAs, Oscars and The Brits coming up in the next few months.
But first and foremost, we have the Golden Globes to celebrate all the best film and telly of the last year.
And there has been a LOT to celebrate.
In TV, Tom Hiddleston’s pert derriere was the star of The Night Manager, Millie Bobby Brown became the coolest 12-year-old in the world after playing Eleven in Stranger Things, and The People v. O. J. Simpson had us gripped for WEEKS (even though we know what happens in the end).
Films were also DA BOMB, with Ryan Reynolds playing the hi-larious Deadpool, Tom Ford creating the visually stunning thriller Nocturnal Animals, and Natalie Portman as the most iconic First Lady in Jackie.
But which shows and films will be crowned the best of the best?
Topping the list with a whopping seven nominations is La La Land, the musical starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
SEVEN.
Other films up for an award include Hacksaw Ridge and Lion.
Stranger Things, Game of Thrones and The Crown have received nominations for Best TV Drama.
And OF COURSE it wasn’t a bum deal for The Night Manager (HAHA) as they’re up for the award too.
