Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has revealed the name of her grandson.

Speaking exclusively to OK! Magazine, she revealed his name to be Teddy Archie David Hoszowskyj after her daughter Emilie Cunliffe gave birth to a healthy 7lb 2oz boy last month.

It comes after the mum-of-four announced his arrival on Instagram, posting this photo of the newborn's hand in hers. She captioned the image, 'My beautiful grandson, I love you I will always love you and I promise to help guide you through life as best I can'. [sic]

The newborn's middle name, Archie, is a tribute to Kym's late son who was born prematurely in 2009 but sadly died. His other middle name, David, is a reference to Emilie's brother, dad and grandfather.

Speaking about Teddy, Emilie said, “When I found out I was having a boy I knew I wanted the name Archie to feature, but I wanted it to be a surprise for Mum.

“After he was born, we bought Mum a keyring with a picture of Teddy in it and engraved it with the message: ‘Dear Loli, thank you for everything. Love, Teddy Archie David Hoszowskyj".

She added, “I wanted to say thank you, so Mikey [Emilie's boyfriend] and I cooked her a meal, bought her flowers and then gave her the keyring".

Kym, who plays Michelle Connor in the soap, told the publication the name came as a surprise, saying the inclusion of Archie moved her to tears.

“When I found out his name, I burst into floods of tears. But now Archie lives on in Teddy’s name. Having a baby boy in the house with Archie’s name as part of his means the world to me".

Congratulations Emilie. ❤️
