Adele ‘snubs’ 100 calls from Band Aid’s Bob Geldof – instead she’s doing absolutely nothing.

Adele wasn’t a part of the new Band Aid 30 single despite Bob Geldof's efforts to sign her up.

ADELE

The track, a reworking of Bob’s original charity song Do They Know It’s Christmas? was released today with a host of huge names taking part.

But it seems Adele’s snub struck a chord with Bob, who went to great lengths to make everyone know exactly what the 26-year-old was doing rather than helping with the track.

Or, rather, what she’s not doing…

“Adele is doing nothing. She’s not answering the phone,” Bob – who supposedly rang the singer 100 times – told the Sun.

“She’s not writing. She’s not recording. She doesn’t want to be bothered by anyone. She won’t even pick up the phone to her manager. She’s bringing up a family, you know.”

Rita Ora, Pixie Gelfod, Harry Styles and Nick Grimshaw were helping on the track

He later added: “There are voices here that are at least parallel to Adele. Sam Smith is her male equivalent.”

It wasn’t just Bob who noted the singer’s absence though, with Sam (Adele in male form) saying:

“I met Adele recently at a Katy Perry concert and I’m disappointed she’s not doing it. But I’m sure she is doing a lot for the charity already.”

We agree Sam, poor old Adele.

She was probably busy, you know, doing something massive that she couldn’t cancel.

The single’s doing pretty well without her though, with Bob telling reporters this morning that within a couple of minutes, they’d already made over a million quid.

Hooray!
