The ex-model has become the third star to walk out of the house this series

Angie Bowie has quit Celebrity Big Brother just one day after Davis Gest walked.

The ex-model, who used to be married to David Bowie but chose to stay in the house after being told of his death, left today because of illness.

A Channel 5 spokesperson said: "After being unwell for a few days, Angie Bowie has decided to leave the* Celebrity Big Brother* house.

"Her exit will be addressed in tonight’s live show on Channel 5 at 9pm."

Angie, 66, has been threatening to leave for the last few days – and people were getting a bit fed up of her going on about it without following through.

It’s not yet known whether Angie’s illness is the same as David’s, but she may have had a rethink after her ex-husband’s death.

What with Jonathan Cheban, David Gest and now Angie, this is the worst series for walk-outs since 2007, when the series 5 line-up had three separate celeb strops. Donny Tourette, Ken Russell and Leo Sayer all left before the final, while in 2008 Sugababe Mutya Buena decided to quit by herself.

Then it was all plain sailing until series 14 in the summer of 2014 – Clare King had had enough by day 14, and left right there and then.

In the January series of 2015, Alexander O’Neil was the only celebrity housemate to leave before the end, then in the summer version of last year, nobody walked but Tila Tequila got ejected for being batshit cray.
