It's great news for iOS users, as Apple have unveiled new emojis set to be released later in the year. The new emojis include disability-themed designs that include a deaf person, guide dogs, a partially-sighted person and various wheelchairs.

The announcement was made to coincide with World Emoji Day on the 17th July 2019. Apple had previously stated their intention and desire to include emojis to represent people with disabilities, and submitted the designs after consulting with charities.

In order to be more inclusive, Apple have introduced variations on gender and skin tones for the "people holding hands" emoji.
