Party season is well underway and we’ve already ploughed through more mince pies and bottles of Prosecco than we’d care to remember. We never can seem to say no to ‘one more glass’ – which is why we practically leapt out of our chairs when we heard about Asda’s fabulous deal on champers.
For a limited time only, Asda will be selling its award-winning Pierre Darcys Champagne Brut for under a tenner. Less than ten English pounds for this year’s Bronze Award winning Champagne at he International Wine Challenge Awards. Don’t mind if we do, tbh.
The bubbly, boasting "delicate aromas of lemon and apple, with hints of ripe nectarine," is usually sold at £18 a bottle but was recently reduced to £12 for the party season.
However, from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th December the Champagne will be on offer for £8 a bottle. For those with a thing for maths, that’s about £1.30 a glass.
With Christmas just around the corner, it’s probably a good to stock up on a few (hundred) bottles while you can.
In other boozy news, you can now get gin Christmas lights (for when ordinary Christmas lights just are boozy enough). The set of 16 lights look like mini green gin bottles and will set you back around £25, so more than your average set of lights, but imagine the look on your friends' faces.
