Not only does she operate on a higher plane using weird head movements to communicate with the gods, she’s also expected to please us little people with our ridiculous demands for her music and her tours and pictures of her baby, Blue Ivy. Damn us, humanity. WE ARE THE WORST.
But TMZ reckons Queen Bey may well have been channelling a special message to her critics in her most recent music video – by showing off her butt.
In the vid for* 7/11*, Beyonce spins madly round in circles with a selfie stick, drapes herself over a chair and just generally has the wildest night in a hotel this side of the Rolling Stones.
She also twerks a lot, which – if we’re being frank here – isn’t the sort of behaviour we expected from Bey. But it does showcase her magnificent arse, and it looks pretty Photoshop-free to us.
So is this finally Beyonce’s way of hitting back at the conspiracy theorists who constantly scan her photos for signs of retouching (and yes, we’re including ourselves in that)? Her Cake By The Pound (which according to ‘young people’ and also the internet means ‘BUMS’) jumper seems to be another hint at how much we’re all supposed to invest in her booty, so it does seem a bit obvs.
In conclusion, Beyonce is still a good few steps ahead of us with her Bey-hind.
