Blake, who shot to fame playing Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl for six seasons, has said, in hindsight, she felt the show was too “personally compromising”. Ouch.
“People loved it, but it always felt a little personally compromising, Blake told Allure. “You want to be putting a better message out there.”

She also explained how “the lines become blurred” and that she found it hard because viewers often confused her with her character Serena.
“It's a weird thing when people feel like they know you really well, and they don't. I would not be proud to be the person who gave someone the cocaine that made them overdose and then shot someone and slept with someone else's boyfriend.” Who would?
Blake – who dated her co-star Penn Badgley between 2008 and 2010 – also referred to the difficulty of having a on-screen/off-screen relationship, adding: “It doesn't help when everybody is dating who they're dating on the show, and you're also saying to the costume designer, 'Hey, can I take that home?'”

The actress, who’s married to Ryan Reynolds, gave birth to the couple’s first baby, James (it’s a girl, BTW) last December and now says her life is all about motherhood, telling the magazine: “I'm, like, driving down the road, pumping. [Breastfeeding is] a full time job.”
