Calling all Wicked fans! Oz-themed afternoon tea is now a thing.
Yep, that’s right, at The Rosebery Lounge of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel you can now attend an afternoon tea inspired by the VERY popular musical, Wicked.

Unsurprisingly, the colour green features heavily throughout – and the food sounds amazing, even to non-musical fans who have no idea what Wicked is!
Note to these people: it’s a musical telling the backstory to the Wizard of Oz, the story of the witches basically.

It’s one of the West End’s most successful musicals, and recently became London’s 11th longest running show in theatre history.
And you should see it!
Anyway, back to the FOOD: everything is created by executive pastry chef Paul Thieblemont, and it all sounds delish.
Think themed pastries: pistachio cupcakes, Elphaba’s milk choc mousse, matcha and hazelnut fingers topped with Glinda’s glitzy sparkly shoe, The Good Witch’s dark chocolate choux, Wicked Witch of the West vanilla broom biscuits…

You’ll also be offered a selection of tasty sandwiches, and of course scones: an essential feature of afternoon tea. These will be served with clotted cream, rose petals jam and lemon curd.
YUM.
And, obvs, there’ll be lots of teas to choose from – over 40, in case you were wondering.
Tickets cost £53 for adults and £28 for children.
