We love movies. We love musicals. We love music. We love celebrites. So when all of those things come together, it should be glorious, right? WRONG. VERY WRONG.
Today the trailer for Into The Woods was released (you can watch it here), and the incredible Meryl Streep is singing all over it sounding GREAT. But you know what it made us think of, that time they let Pierce Brosnan sing an Abba song. And get paid for it.
So here, thanks to that fleeting shuddering memory, is out top 6 actors that should NOT have sung.
Mama Mia... please make it stop
Where it all began. This man was James Bond. James Bond, for goodness sake. You wouldn't catch Roger Moore singing a load of Abba would you? Unless maybe he's a big karaoke fan... we don't know. Anyway, Pierce randomly bursting into song is still one of favourite movie moments.
Javert-y bad
Poor old Russell Crowe. No-one comes off great singing against the lovely Hugh Jackman in Les Miserables, but wow... just wow. His turn as Javert in the movie version of the hugely famous musical is now... well... imprinted on everyone's ears, shall we say?
It's a no from me!
It was the day we'd all been waiting for. After decades of judging everyone else's singing, Simon Cowell opened his mouth and sang. He claimed he was "putting it on" because he'd only just told a US X Factor wannabe that he sounded like he was drowning, when he sang. But we kinda think this is defs what Si sounds like when he's in the shower.

In (500) Days of Summer, poor old Tom, aka Joseph Gordon-Levitt is convinced that singing is the way into the aforementioned Summer's heart. No spoilers here, we won't tell you how it works out for him. But man, the kid cannot sing. (Still SUPER cute though)
