Joy and sunlight and peace and the sheer happiness of being alive: Danniella Westbrook has been accepted back on the Hollyoaks payroll and will be reappearing on the soap VERY SOON.
The 41-year-old actress, who last year went backrupt and claimed to be homeless, will return to the village to reprise her role as Trudy Ryan, an ex-jailbird friend of Jacqui McQueen. Danniella broke the news this morning, tweeting:
A Hollyoaks spokesperson said: “We are pleased to be welcoming Danniella back as Trudy for a limited time. She was a great asset to the show in 2013 as part of Jacqui's leaving story.”
Daniella’s had a rough time of it lately – last year she lost her home, had to sign on the dole and got turned down for a council house, prompting rumours she was set to move into the Celebrity Big Brother house just to have a roof over her head.
But now things are looking a bit more positive for her. Well, she’s started up a new website, Danniellas.com, which… uh… well, it sort of offers savings advice.
