If you’re a fan of Disney’s Aladdin (which obviously you are) you’re going to love this little nugget of information.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is planning a live-action Aladdin prequel!

The film will delve more into the life of lamp-enslaved Genie, and will be called Genies.

Wait a minute… we’ve done some pretty impressive Sherlock Holmes style detective work, and judging by the fact that it’s called Genies and not Genie, we’re guessing there’s more than one genie in it. Interesting.

The Genie was originally voiced by Robin Williams, so we feel pretty sad to think of someone else playing him. But we’re still super-excited to see the new film.

Disney has several other live-action remakes in the pipeline too, including The Jungle Book, Beauty And The Beast, Dumbo, Winnie The Pooh, Mulan, Pinnochio and a tale about Prince Charming.
