Poor old Jason Donovan. All he wanted was a quick pint down the Queen Vic – but unfortunately he’s been kidnapped by Mick Carter and is now being force-fed poisoned trifle by Aunt Babe.
It’s all fun and games though – to mark the 30th anniversary of Neighbours, the whole cast of EastEnders paid tribute to their cousins Down Under – and the resulting video is actually magnificent.
Listen carefully and you’ll find quite a few Easter Eggs in there – Aunt Babe mentioning the name of Jason’s 1988 hit with Kylie Minogue, for starters.
The video was directed by Ian Beale actor Adam Woodyatt (he of ‘How’s Adam?’ fame) and is pretty dark, tbh. We think the Erinsborough lot might actually be reconsidering their desparate need for good neighbours after this.
It comes after Susan and Karl Kennedy – along with the rest of the Neighbours cast – did THIS brill spoof video to celebrate ‘Enders’ 30th back in February.
