But why is Tanya making a comeback just as Lucy’s killer is revealed?

What’s this – Tanya to return to Albert Square just as Lucy’s killer is revealed? Well that doesn’t look dodgy at all.

Indeed, Tanya Cross (formerly Branning), played by Jo Joyner who left EastEnders back in June 2013, is making a dramatic comeback for the soap’s 30th anniversary celebrations next month.

Tanya’s initial return will be prompted by the marriage of her BFF Jane to Ian Beale, and as bosses prepare to unmask Lucie’s killer in February (dun, dun, durr)– we just hope it’s not tedious Donna or worse still, Nasty Nick. We can’t bare another awkward acting scene of, “Don’t you dare. Tell Ma”.

Anyway, best prepare for a blockbuster of a live week when Tanya returns to Walford – alongside Peggy Mitchell of all people.

Speaking of returning to the show for two episodes in the special anniversary week, Jo said: “I’m thrilled to be a part of the 30-year celebrations of the show.

“One of the best things about soap is that it’s steeped in history, we all had a generation of characters that we grew up with, mine were 'Chelle and Sharon and Tiff and Bianca! It's great that people can pop back in and help create that depth to the show.

“I'm really looking forward to working with everyone again, no matter how briefly. I hope I didn't kill Lucy!"

Has Ben Mitchell been at it again? (We miss you Hev.) Is Jane to blame? Or was it not-so-perfect Peter? We can’t wait to FINALLY find out who the hell killed Lucy Beale.
