Facebook is finally creating a ‘dislike’ button to allow users to express “empathy”.
The social media site’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the news at a Facebook townhall.

"I think people have asked about the dislike button for many years," he explained. "Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we're working on it and shipping it."
Mark continued: "What [users] really want is the ability to express empathy. Not every moment is a good moment."
A roll-out for the new option is expected soon, although the tech billionaire admitted: "It's surprisingly complicated to make an interaction that will be simple."
