Grimmy: ‘Simon gave us a pep talk with Rita Ora dressed as a banana’
The short and sweet clip sees (or hears?) John Luther, played by Idris Elba, ask: 'Do you ever have that dream when you're falling?'
We then watch Luther pull the covers off of a car before flashing a light down a dark alleyway
Elba's voiceover continues: 'Did you ever wake up in it?'
The trailer also shows a pair of hands on a table during a police interview and it all concludes with a shot of Luther's warrant card and THIS dramatic statement.
So....are you as excited/ nervous/ in love with Idris Elba as us?
We last saw Luther throwing his famous coat in the river and many fans assumed the show had come to an end. The show's writer Neil Cross said of the surprise return: 'Ever since we said goodbye to John Luther on Southwark Bridge, there's hardly been a minute when I didn't wonder what happened next.
'So I decided to find out. We're putting the band back together; Luther is coming back where he belongs. Back to the BBC. Back to London. And back to work.'
