It seems that* Strictly Come Dancing* can’t seem to shake off the ‘fix’ rumours this year. Last month, former pro dancer Ola Jordan sparked the claims, saying: “Some of the marking is way off. People are over-marked and under-marked,” and it’s rumbled on since then – with Jamelia making a similar suggestion after being voted off the dancing show.
Now, former SCD winner Kara Tointon (she won the show back in 2010) has had her say. When asked whether she thought some of the relationships on the show were created to cause drama, she told the Sun: “I was single and they put me with the single guy! I was so angry.”
Kara was partnered with Artem Chigvintsev on the show and the pair later got together. She added: “I was determined we wouldn’t get it together and then, of course, you’re spending so much time with this person and he was so wonderful . .
So, yes, it was inevitable really.”
Sadly for Kara and Artem, their romance didn’t last and they split in 2014. Much like the other Strictly romances that have started on the show…
Next week Jay McGuinness, Georgia May Foote, Kellie Bright and Katie Derham will dance in the final and on Sunday, one of the four will walk away with the coveted glitter ball trophy.
