Frances Bean says she DOESN’T LIKE dad Kurt Cobain’s band Nirvana

The 22-year-old daughter of Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide 21 years ago this week, has admitted she doesn't like his Nirvana music.

Frances Bean, who lost her dad at the age of one when he was 27, told Rolling Stone that she's "not into the grunge scene" – but does love Nivana's one-time rivals Oasis.

"I don't really like Nirvana that much," she revealed. "Sorry, promotional people, Universal."

She went on: "The grunge scene is not what I'm interested in."

Frances also revealed her mixed feelings towards her dad's death, saying: "If Kurt had just been another guy who abandoned his family in the most awful way possible… But he wasn't. He inspired people to put him on a pedestal, to become St Kurt.

"He became even bigger after he died than he was when he was alive. You don't think it could have gotten any bigger. But it did."

Frances, whose mum Courtney Love was married to Kurt at the time of his death, has never spoken in public about her dad before but has worked on the upcoming* Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck* documentary as an executive producer.

The documentary hits cinemas tomorrow (10 April) here in the UK.
