From frozen margaritas at a Mexican-themed rooftop to a lip-smacking frozen espresso martini, these sensational sips are more than worth the brain freeze.
10 Frozen Cocktails To Cool you Right Down This Summer
Bar Elba - London
Lots of things spring to mind when you think of summer, and although 'sweating' and 'sunscreen' is up there, so is 'rooftop bars'. Bar Elba is a colourful oasis in the sky and it's inspired by Napoleon's plight to the famous party island. When you get up there you'll be met with amazing views, twinkling fairy lights and lots of frozen frosé. Top tip? Make a booking between 4pm and 6pm from Sunday to Wednesday and you'll get 2-4-1 drinks.
Be At One - Nottingham
Be At One is the gift that just keeps on giving. In case you forgot, they added ice cream cocktails infused with Reese's Pieces and Kinder Bueno to their menu, and now? They've mastered the art of frozen bellinis. You can pick from three different flavours too: strawberry, mango and peach. If you need us, you know where we'll be.
Big Chill - London
Big Chill is a King's Cross gem. It's split across two levels, but you can stay put on the ground level, however with it being summer and all, we recommend climbing the stairs to their colourful rooftop. It's been given a pink makeover lately, with lots of winding foliage and dangling oranges. Although these round fruits aren't edible (sob), you can quench your thirst with one of their frozen blood orange G&Ts instead.
Camino - London
Now, what's cooler than being cool? Ice cold… cocktails. Camino might be known for its tasty tapas, but you don't need to pair them with a bottle of house white anymore. This Spanish restaurant has a frozen pink Med G&T that's made with Sipsmith gin, Mediterranean citrus, herbs and tonic, and we can't rate it enough - especially when you enjoy it on their outdoor terrace.
Comptoir Libanais - Leeds
If you haven't had Lebanese food before, the best place to start your culinary journey is Comptoir Libanais. This Leeds restaurant is pretty as a picture and the food just as much so, with towering burgers and large salads where there's more feta than spinach leaves. And to wash everything down? The bar has you covered with minta, a frozen vodka cocktail.
Dirty Martini - Cardiff
When it comes to summer cocktails, Dirty Martini are a force to be reckoned with. This Cardiff cocktail bar is forever updating its menu with seasonal specials and this year's no different. Make your way down to them and you'll have the choice of a sharp frozen daiquiri or a fantastic coupe of frosé.
Skylark - London
When it comes to rooftops London is spoilt rotten, and what we've done to deserve Skylark, we'll never know. This London newcomer is perched above Little Venice and it boasts dreamy views of the city's ever-expanding skyline. They have four frozen cocktails to pick from, so you have the perfect excuse to stay a little longer than you should. Can't choose what to have first? The prosecco pop is a great place to start.
Queen of Hoxton - London
Golden beaches, balmy evenings and tasty tacos? If your dream holiday involves Mexico but you're short of, let's say, a grand or two, we have a Shoreditch version that's just as good as the real thing. Head up to Queen of Hoxton's summer pop-up for a Mexican fiesta like no other. Promising frozen margaritas, frozen watermelon palomas and female wrestling, this place is destined to become one of your favourite rooftops, ever.
Murder Inc - London
One of London's craziest cocktail bars gained a sister site this month, and she's a bit of a wild child. Murder Inc is inspired by the organised crime groups of America in the 40s and 50s, so don't be too surprised when you see that the drinks are just as badass at its theme. We give the menu a big thumbs up, but the banana ramos - a blend of banana milk, coconut cream, custard, stout, and Jäeger - is a must-order.
The Espresso Martini Society - London
Sure, your mornings don't start until you have a coffee, but from now on your nights out won't start until you drink a frozen espresso martini. The world's largest espresso martini is back in London for a six-week pop-up and it's bringing a plethora of summer-ready concoctions to the table. Try as many as your tummy will allow, but don't you dare leave until you try the below zero spectacle.
