The hit show – which starts again tonight – is one of the most pirated TV shows in the world, racking up over 7 million illegal downloads last year.

The finale of GOT series four even set a new piracy record, with 1.5 million downloads in just 12 hours after it aired.

The four new episodes came out on Sunday afternoon and thousands of fans flooded to illegal websites to access the shows, with over 50,000 downloads in the first few hours.

The news came as Greg Spence, the producer in charge of post production on GOT said he continually worries about leaks.

“The cast is looping all over the world, sending files back and forth,” Greg said. “Artists are working in special-effects houses all over the world. The files are watermarked, and editors have to confirm in writing that they've deleted them.”

It’s not sure how the files came out but we’re pretty sure that all the people involved in GOT won’t be best pleased about the leak.
