So we’re already freaking out about the news that Rihanna’s tour is kicking off in Februaryand now there’s a whole OTHER amazing reason to look forward to the second month of next year.

That’s right, a TV movie sequel to the Disney classic The Lion King is launching in February 2016!

The film, The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, will act as introduction to new Disney Junior series The Lion Guard, which will air later in 2016.

The film will follow original lead character Simba's second-born cub Kion, as he leads a team of animals preserving the Pride Lands.

The Lion Guard is traditionally made up of a group of lions known for their fierceness, bravery and speed, however Kion instead enlists the help of his friends: a honey badger, egret, cheetah and hippo - as he believes he holds these heroic qualities. Cute!
