Happiest Cat competition kicks off in London and it’s AMAZING

Imagine *The X Factor...*but for cats. Well, that’s how this incredible story was sold to us this morning when we picked up the phone. Yes – this is a competition to find the happiest cat in the United Kingdom and some of the contenders are SO cute.

O2, who held the cat casting to find the next star of their Refresh adverts, even pulled in Sarah Harding to lend a hand in the judging. Now, Sarah probably should have been at home learning her lines for Coronation Street but we’ll let her off for this worthy cause.

“I was delighted to be asked by O2 to be on the panel,” Sarah told us. “I am a huge cat-lover and am often posting pictures of my Persian cat, Marley, on Instagram and Twitter – he’s a huge part of my life. Today, we have seen some incredibly smiley cats from all over the country and I can’t wait to see the winning cat up on a billboard in London, what a great opportunity!”
