An ideal weekend for us here at heat towers basically involves staying in, ordering enough take-away to feed the Five Thousand and watching all the Harry Potter films back-to-back.
We'd probably then finish things off with a lovely relaxing bubble bath, courtesy of Lush's Harry Potter-themed bath bomb, obvs.
Admittedly, it’s not the most social of weekend plans, so when we found out there was a way to get our HP fix and still actually make contact with real human beings we got very excited.
Yep - there's now a Harry Potter-themed bar crawl and it sounds bloody magical (if Harry Potter-related organised fun is your thing).
It's called The Harry Potter and the Order of the Pub Crawl and is run by events company Bootlegger. Everyone has to dress up as their favourite Harry Potter character and will then be sorted into houses upon arrival.
Pub crawl-goers will then compete in a number of challenges, as the group moves from pub to pub, in order to win points for their houses. All very serious stuff, of course.
To keep spirits high (and everyone willing to make fools of themselves while dressed as a house elf or Hogwarts prefect), a number of wizarding world-themed drinks will be available to buy throughout the night.
Apparently, there's even free shots flying about.
Unfortunately, the event currently only takes place in Dublin. So, for those of us stuck here in boring ol' England, or elsewhere, we'd have to hop on our broomsticks and jet off to Ireland to take part.
Also, the August event has (understandably) sold out! But Bootlegger have plans in place for more events in September.
