It's amazing!

There seems to have been a sudden influx of cold weather up and down the United Kingdom, and many parts of the country are either already layered with ice and snow, or it's on the way. According to weather maps, it seems like the North West have it pretty bad, and of course Scotland is always colder than everywhere else.

Drivers are always exasperated by news that temperatures are dropping, as it means having to leave the house 15 minutes early to clear the car - which is itself a trial, freezing your hands to scrape the screen to barely any avail whatsoever.

Yes, you can use de-icing spray to help clear it, which is better than nothing, but it's so easy to get hand cramp from spraying so long, and if it's a cheap one it'll just drip down your arm. Sigh.

However, a man from Coventry has come up with a GENIUS hack to get all that pesky ice off the windscreen without having to resort to a scraper or spray... And it'll even keep your hands warm whilst you do it.

Daniel Harris shared his innovative method on social media, telling friends and family to fill up a sandwich bag with hot water and simply drag it across the windscreen and watch the ice melt straight away.

1. Radiator Reflectors

If your radiator is joined to an outside wall, the heat can be lost to the outside. With a reflector installed behind the radiator, the panel helps retain the heat by reflecting it back into the room.

He wrote, 'Hot water in a food bag and bam you've got a de-icer and a hand warmer. Works a treat, and it's fast! I used warm tap water so I could safely hold it and lower the risk of cracking my screen.

'The de-icer cans are so cold in the morning and this way keeps you nice and toasty. Oh and yes it was ice not condensation. I know it looks it but try it and you won't be disappointed.'

With temperatures looking to drop even further this week, it could be a good idea to give this a try!
