Ten months after these new emojis were first announced, and nearly three months after they were released on other platforms, Apple users finally get their chance to use over 70 new emojis. As revealed last year, these new emojis include, people with ginger hair, a rather delicious looking bagel and even a lobster!
With the new iOS 12.1 update, available from Tuesday (30th Oct), users will be able to also use new emojis such as a kangaroo, a llama and a swan. See some of the proposed emojis below...

In the end, not all of these proposed emojis were chosen, however in February this year it was confirmed that along with ginger-haired emojis, there would be a bagel, lobster and softball emoji.
With some excitement over the choice of a bagel, it turns out that the original emoji design wasn't popular, so it was redesigned to look more appealing. Jeremy Burge from Emojipedia tweeted, 'Responding to complaints, Apple's bagel emoji has been updated in the latest iOS 12.1 beta'.
And yesterday, Emojipedia confirmed the release of the new emojis for iOS users. Time to get texted to your heart's content!
