Dads' favourite and basically unsackable TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson allegedly tried to throw a punch at his Top Gear producer because there was no food provided during a day of filming.
According to a Mirror source, Clarkson is thought to have taken a swing at a 36-year-old producer – who has worked on the motorhead show for 10 years – because of the lack of food at a location in Newcastle last week.
The insider said: "It was all over a catering issue. They came to the end of filming after a long day and Jeremy discovered that no food had been laid on.
"He just saw red and hit the assistant producer, who he blamed for not having organised the food. He snapped."
In a statement, the BBC said: "Following a fracas with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation.
"No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday. The BBC will be making no further comment at this time."

Jeremy is thought to be on his final warning at the Beeb after a series of gaffes over the years, including making a joke about truck drivers murdering prostitutes, accidentally saying the n-word on camera and using licence plates in Argentina that could have been referring to the 1982 Falklands war.
Clarkson's Top Gear sidekicks James May and Richard Hammond tried to make light of the situation by suggesting on Twitter alternative programmes to air during Sunday night's now-empty evening slot.
Clarkson then tweeted directly to his fans, saying:
Jeremy's old nemesis Piers Morgan then offered his services, writing, "I'm available #TopGear" before tweeting:
