LOOK! Look, will ya! It’s the first official pictures of Leonard and Penny from The Big Bang Theory getting married!

And Penny’s wearing a pink gown, just like the actress that plays her – Kaley Cuoco – did her actual wedding day.

It’s so good to see that the lovebirds finally make it down the aisle in these photos from The Hollywood Reporter.

"Chuck and I had a long talk about [revealing the wedding before the premiere] and my fear was that it was going to start sound like they didn't [get married]," said showrunner Steve Molaro, explaining why he chose to confirm the storyline before it airs.

"That was not a positive message - and we didn't want fans to feel like, 'Oh, they're going to pull the rug again and not do it.'

"There is so much more story beyond that moment that we decided to just let people know.”

Leonard (played by Johnny Galecki) and Penny were seen eloping to Las Vegas in The* Big Bang Theory's* season eight finale, with Leonard confessing to a drunken kiss with another woman during his North Sea expedition two years previous.

Not cool, Leonard. Not cool.

Steve admitted that there will be challenges for the newlyweds ahead, as Penny "thinks she's OK with it and she may not be".

"It was a few years ago, but it fluttered [with Penny]," he explained. "It's the kind of thing that you wouldn't expect to happen and that can be a little jarring.

"I think when you're Penny, and you have an image that you've cultivated of a person for eight years now and those two things aren't aligning anymore - that can be a difficult thing to deal with."

The Big Bang Theory returns to CBS on Monday, 21September. The show airs on E4 in the UK.
