A couple of weeks ago we brought you the news that a super cool new festival was hitting the UK really, really soon.
YUP. A pizza festival is coming to Birmingham later this month and we thought we'd discovered the hottest ticket on the festival scene this summer.

Oh, how wrong we were.
Sure, pizza is great and all but, let's be real, it's got nothing, NOTHING, on the glorious cheesy goodness that is Macaroni Cheese.
And now we've just discovered a Mac 'n' Cheese festival is also hitting the UK later this year. It's called Pastaval and it sounds absolutely heavenly.

Created by food blogger Emma Mykytyn, Pastaval is a foodie festival set up to unearth the best mac and cheese in existence as part of Glasgow's Southside Fringe festival.
Apparently Pastaval's been a highlight of the Southside Fringe for years and a whole load of restaurants and keen foodie-types offer up a selection of deliciously cheesy pasta dishes in the hope of being crowned the king or queen of mac 'n' cheese. How did we not know this was a thing before?

According to Cosmopolitan, festival founder Emma explained: "We love our mac and cheese and know others must do too, so Pastaval is back! Buy your ticket and eat your way through Shawlands, scoring each of the venues to help crown the south side’s best mac and cheese.”
Literally could not be more up our street.
The date is yet to be confirmed, but for more info and tickets to Pastaval visit foodieexplorers.co.uk.
