In case you haven’t noticed, we’re in the throes of the bleak mid-winter and probably still hungover from the 241415134425 gallons of prosecco consumed over Christmas.
Now that we’re back at work (ugh) and coming to the realisation that maybe we should do something all that excessive eating and drinking over the festive period (ugh), we thought we’d try and find some fun and feelgood ways to cleanse our bodies of the sins of Christmas past.
We’ve been on the hunt for some of the best fitness and wellbeing classes, aiming to tackle those pesky January Blues, and stumbled across Madison London’s Laughter Yoga sessions.
Kicking off on Monday 15th January aka Blue Monday – the gloomiest of all gloomy Mondays in Jan – the rooftop restaurant over looking St Paul’s Cathedral will be hosting early morning Laughter Yoga sessions.
The classes, which start at 7:30am and last 50 minutes, are will be run by yoga and mindfulness instructor Federica Miserocchi and are designed to help you connect with your childlike self and start the day with a positive outlook.
Speaking about the sessions, Federica explained: “Laughteryoga is not your traditional yoga class and is open to everyone.
“During the playshop we will practice laughter exercises combined with deep breathing and play to release stress, detoxify and relax.
“No yoga poses, no yoga mats, just lots of laughter! You have never had a workout like this!”
Seems like a pretty good way to start a Monday, tbh.
*Sessions are running on 15th, 22nd and 29th January at 7:30am. For more information and tickets, *click here.
