Dating shows come in all shapes and sizes these days. There’s First Dates, Celebs Go Dating and Dinner Date. Singletons can even go Dating in the Dark. It should come as no surprise then that MTV has announced the arrival of new dating show, Single AF.
Well, that was until we found out that it is Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson and X-Factor flopstars Jedward who will be playing cupid. WTF.
Yep, these unlikely love gurus will be joined by a selection of other random celebs including reality TV-star Farrah Abraham, Youtuber Edward Crawford and former Union J member Casey Johnson, who will take members of the public on a global tour trying to find love.
The show will launch live on social media platforms on Monday 26 and will take seven singles around the world setting them up with dates as they go. The catch? Contestants must be “up for anything” and willing to play the dating game the “MTV way”. Christ.
Over the course of two weeks, singles will be asked to look for love in “unconventional” ways they’ve never tried before, with members of the public making live suggestions.
At the end of the trip, the seven singles will take their top date to an exclusive castle in Paris and spend time together as a group, to further explore whether they’ve met their perfect match.
It all sounds very intruiging and we’re not sure if we’d ever put that much trust in Jedward, but we OBVIOUSLY can’t wait to see what goes down.
