Mary has gone all international on us

Great British Bake Off darling, Mary Berry has made a human woman cry on the American iteration of the hit BBC show. Why anybody allowed those Americans to get a taste of our twee British gem is beyond us. We're pretty sure it's actual treason.

Oi Obama, she's ours! Hands. Off.
Oi Obama, she's ours! Hands. Off.

It all happened in the festive trailer for the show entitled The Great Holiday Baking Show, which is a crap title. It's the equivalent of buying own-brand Wheat Bisks from Aldi instead of genuine Weetabix. They'll probably taste the same, but they're not as good deep down.

The "Royal Queen of baking" as the show dubs her - we wonder if they realise she's not actual royalty, just because she's a bit posh - made one contestant cry after calling her bake "perfect".

She replies: "Oh my gosh, I'm about to cry!"

Mary will appear on the ABC program with pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini (he's no Paul Hollywood). The show will run as a four-week special, hosted by _My Big Fat Gree_k wedding actress Nia Vardalos and husband Ian Gomez (they're no Mel and Sue) and will start airing on November 30.
