Matt Berry has admitted he’d never have considered taking the* X Factor* voiceover job, despite having one of the greatest voices ever.

The Toast Of London star, who already does a number of voiceovers, has said he would never have got involved, even after original voice of The X Factor, Peter Dickson, announced his departure from the ITV show.

"I think it was bandied about, but I never got involved in any of that," he told* Digital Spy.*

"I wouldn't have considered it. I've never seen the show, but it's not the kind of thing I watch or would be interested in."

When told that he would probably have to record his lines every week, he added: "Is that the case? Oh, f**k that."

Fair enough…

Peter Dickson planned to quit The X Factor this year, but was convinced by producers to return for the Live Shows. Redd Pepper introduced the contestants for the live Judges' Houses episodes.
