McBusted are going on tour next year, they announced this morning. heatworld headed down to the Hippodrome Casino in London's Leicester Square, where the McBusted boys had thrown a very special bonfire party in celebration, complete with mini toffee apples, Bailey's hot chocolate (hic!), Booby Bobbing, Randy Floss and fire-breathing ladies in pink sequins. Yeah, we were a bit perplexed by the last one, too, but hey, it was all good fun.
After reuniting for McFly's ten-year anniversary gigs at the Royal Albert Hall this time last year, McBusted became an overnight phenomenon, and the band's subsequent tour sold out huge arenas all over the country, including Hyde Park in the summer – a gig that the boys still describe as being one of the ultimate highlights of their career to date. And now they're off on tour again in March and April 2015 (see full list of dates and venues below).
Asked about the future of McFly, Danny Jones explained, "We've just Sky-plussed McFly for the moment – it hasn't gone away." The boys added that the new music they've written as a band is something they're both excited about and very proud of, and for the time being, at least, McBusted is the main focus. "It's time for round two," says Danny.
While at the Casino, we also volunteered to play a round of Tattoo Roulette with the band… and lost. Is it wrong to admit that we were a tiny bit disappointed to be walking away without being branded with a McTatt? Probably…
McBusted self-titled debut album will be released on 1 December, with the first single Air Guitar out on 23 November.
